Paul reports back from Thacker Pass

Paul Cienfuegos, CRUS founding director, traveled to the Protect Thacker Pass camp, west of the tiny village of Orovada, Nevada earlier this month.

Where Paul saw a vast expanse of stark, gorgeous sagebrush country, a Canadian corporation saw dollar signs. The corporation plans to suck up local water and dig a massive (miles-long and hundreds of feet deep) open-pit lithium mine and build miles of roads, destroying the delicate desert ecosystem.

Paul will be discussing the latest news of Thacker Pass with Will Falk during our 24+ hour livestream event on TODAY noon PST and will write up an article about his own experiences and observations for our May newsletter.

Keep this email handy and just click to visit our Twitch event anytime between noon PST on Friday, April 30 and 5pm PST May 1, 2021.

Want to help further the work of Community Rights US?

Over the next couple weeks and months, we at Community Rights US will be introducing more ways to support our work protecting the rights of people and nature. You can still donate via our PayPal as you did previously, but now we also have a new Action Network fundraiser! Through this link, you can sign up for one-time or monthly recurring donations quickly and easily. Check it out and consider supporting Community Rights US, so together we can take our country back from corporate rule, and reclaim our rightful authority to govern ourselves (from the local up).
