Community Rights US Seeks to Hire Temporary Part-Time Development Director
Community Rights US seeks a part-time Development Director to head our ongoing fundraising and operational needs. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, this professional must have an established background in coordinating nonprofit donation strategies.
This role involves organizing online fundraising initiatives, managing a database, writing grants and building relationships with donors, staff and volunteers. The Development Director will also assist our Program Coordinator with implementing major giving and planned giving fundraising strategies. This position is currently 100% remote (work from home).
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of fund development experience, preferably in the education and nonprofit fields. They should also be familiar with maintaining donor databases and other fundraising technology to use in their daily job duties.

Job duties include:
- Plan and evaluate fundraising campaigns.
- Manage the organization’s fundraising budget.
- Research and apply for grants.
- Identify and steward prospective donors (in collaboration with Program Coordinator).
- Recruit and train fundraising staff and volunteer leaders.
- Stay on top of fundraising trends and the nonprofit community.
- Communicate with donors and staff via email, phone or social media.
- Answer donor and staff inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Use prospect research tools and donor database to build donor relationships.
- Create solicitation materials for the fundraising team.
The Development Director will demonstrate:

This is a part time (5-10 hours/week) position for the remainder of 2020. Pay starts at $17/hr and can be negotiated DOE.
