Greetings from CRUS Board President
Hello everyone,
It is an incredible time at CRUS. With new people, new ideas and fresh energy, we are spring-boarding into the Autumn with high hopes. Our book club has aired live on Twitch and YouTube alongside other live shows and events, such as Paul Cienfuegos and myself discussing the finer points and theory behind our movement. Through these live events we can chat with you and an expanding national community of folks dedicated to putting power in the hands of communities to realize our sovereignty. We were so excited to read your responses to our recent polls and gain insights into your thinking about the movement and its potential, such as these ones:
“The movement toward democratic, local control focused on the benefit of people, ecosystems, and local economies.”
And
“An attempt to return power to the people. To steal it back from overreaching government and corporations. And to fight misinformation and propaganda.”
It’s because statements like these that we are even more excited to engage with you and work together to spread the power of Community Rights.
We recently had an organizational retreat which allowed board members and staff a chance to come together and envision what the coming years could look like: forging new relationships and alliances with groups dedicated to our shared principles, finalizing our online courses to make learning about and practicing CR even easier to grow our ranks, training a new crop of volunteers to be the new educators and leaders of our cause, new art projects that can engage community and artists and bring people together in heart and beauty, and volunteer opportunities for you to help build up our movement.
CRUS is excited about the future and your part in it. Our path brings disparate people together from all walks of life to protect and preserve what we cherish most and ensure the preservation of democracy and we the people at its heart. Our fight has and will be a long one, but we steady few light the way for those who dare. Your financial contributions help to make this organization and our movement thrive. Please donate today and strengthen our movement.
Sincerely,
Bryan William Lewis
