The Oregon Community Rights Network is hosting this special event:
Wednesday, October 21, 2020
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM PDT
Please RSVP to: contact <at> oregoncommunityrights <dot> org for the Zoom link.
It all starts by choosing to extend a helping hand. In Portland, Oregon and all across the country efforts are underway to meet the needs of people, neighborhoods, and communities outside of government or traditional charity models. Medical assistance, food assistance, home restoration, laundry services, and other mutual aid projects have emerged to fill the voids and gaps of community needs.
This live Zoom event will highlight the on the ground realities of how these mutual aid efforts operate, who they reach, and why they have come to be. Join us to better appreciate what is currently underway and how new mutual aid efforts in other communities could emerge along with gaining a deeper understanding of the systemic changes that are needed.
Please RSVP to: contact@oregoncommunityrights.org for the Zoom link.
