Cliff Helming led this public forum in Carbondale, Colorado, on May 27, 2015. Cliff is a board member of the Colorado Community Rights Network and the President of the National Community Rights Network.

In response to state preemption of community rights to local self-government; preemption of the Lafayette, Colorado’s Community Bill of Rights for Banning Fracking; fracking bans and moratoria in Greeley, Longmont and Fort Collins; a five-county ban on the cyanide gold mining (responsible for the Summitville Mining Disaster); local laws for worker’s rights; and minimum wage and plastic bag bans; Cliff Willmeng announces the 2016 Colorado Community Rights Amendment campaign to legalize democratic, local community self-government for the adoption of local laws asserting the fundamental, inalienable rights of communities to protect the health, safety and welfare for human communities and the natural world against harm from both the unconstitutional state preemptions which violate those rights and the destructive corporate projects forced upon them.
